As a community mourns the passing of an incredible individual, it gives us all time to reflect on what we can do to make our community a better place… something that Al Mazza did on a daily basis.   Being at the funeral yesterday gave me time to think about what an amazing community we have here in Sonoma Valley.  Our community… our children – it’s what we are all here for.   Al Mazza gave of himself to make this community a better place and it’s worth taking the time to think about what we can each do as individuals to build a stronger community.  Maybe this means volunteering in a classroom or reading a book to a child, or taking a moment to help out at the Boys and Girls Club.  Maybe it means becoming a mentor or maybe it means joining our Teacher Support Network.  Follow your passion, give to your community, make Al proud.
